Obiwezy, a Nigerian e-commerce retailer of new and used gadgets including phones, tablets, and laptops, wanted to improve the payment experience for its customers. To do this, it partnered with OnePipe to use standardized partner-bank APIs and create a smoother, more frictionless checkout flow.

OnePipe implemented virtual account generation, payment notification, and fund movement APIs so customers could pay by bank transfer, enabling instant account creation at checkout, automatic reconciliation, and near-instant payment confirmation. The result was a simpler and faster payment process with higher transaction success, easier dispute handling, and reduced operational dependency compared with card payments.
