Steelcase, the world’s largest office furniture manufacturer with 11,000 employees and 37,000 total users across 80+ locations, faced rampant cloud adoption and “shadow IT” that put sensitive data at risk. A board-ordered audit revealed 3,500 cloud services in use with only a few sanctioned by IT, creating multiple accounts and access controls that threatened data security and compliance.

Steelcase deployed Skyhigh Networks and OneLogin to gain granular visibility, enforce CloudTrust risk ratings, and centralize identity and access. They blocked about 600 high-risk services, coached users to sanctioned tools like OneDrive, enforced DLP and threat protection for Office 365, unified directories with SSO/MFA, and detected compromised accounts—resulting in a stronger risk profile, faster app onboarding (days vs. weeks), lower vetting costs, and increased user productivity.
