Private School Simplifies SSO and Reduces Parent Login Problems

The Glennie School, a girls’ K–12 school in Toowoomba, Australia, needed to simplify access for about 2,000 students, staff and parents after migrating from SharePoint to Google Sites and Drive. They faced inconsistent SSO standards across apps and frequent “permission denied” errors when parents’ personal Google accounts blocked access to school resources, creating a heavy support burden.

Glennie chose OneLogin, using its browser extension to build custom SSO connectors and launch app links that automatically sign parents into school accounts, plus an “Assuming Users” feature for secure IT troubleshooting. The result: seamless, error‑proof logins across 70 configured apps (including Google Apps and Office 365), higher adoption of the portal, tailored app access for different user groups, and a marked reduction in parent support calls.
