Interactive Intelligence, a global provider of contact center and business automation software, faced a fragmented, insecure access environment—employees and partners were managing dozens of passwords insecurely, there was no company-wide policy for cloud app access, and the company needed to integrate custom and public web apps into its SharePoint partner portal. Managing identities for both internal staff and a growing base of external partners was becoming unscalable and risky.
The company deployed OneLogin SAML-based single sign-on for 17,100 users (2,100 employees and 15,000 external partners), rapidly integrating more than 30 public and private apps—including SharePoint, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Concur and Workday—using built-in connectors and SAML toolkits. The rollout improved mobile and remote access, enabled audit reporting and faster provisioning, and cut about 15 service-desk hours per week previously spent on password resets, freeing IT to focus on higher-value work.
