Hermitage Clinic, a 101‑bed hospital in Dublin and part of the Blackrock Healthcare Group, was pursuing a cloud‑first strategy but struggled with legacy ADFS, VPN‑only remote access, and frequent password‑reset requests from staff and consultants. With a small IT team and growing use of cloud apps like Salesforce, the clinic needed a simpler, more secure way for users to access both cloud and on‑premise systems.
Hermitage selected OneLogin SSO and OneLogin Protect for its out‑of‑the‑box connectors, usability, and MFA capabilities. Rolling OneLogin out to apps such as Outlook Web Access, Global Protect VPN, Zoom, Qlik Sense and Salesforce removed the VPN barrier for webmail, reduced password‑reset tickets, improved remote access during COVID‑19, strengthened security with MFA, and accelerated the clinic’s cloud‑first adoption — with plans to extend OneLogin to the intranet, patient scheduling, and sister clinics.
