Enabling Consolidation and a Flexible Application Structure Within a Rapidly Growing Business

Bonnier News, part of the Bonnier AB group and publisher of titles like Dagens Nyheter and Expressen, grew rapidly through acquisitions to roughly 3,000 employees, bringing a mix of systems and identity silos. Heavy reliance on Microsoft Active Directory and manual provisioning made it hard to manage access across the expanded company, causing login problems, time‑intensive integrations and slowed collaboration.

After evaluating vendors, Bonnier News implemented OneLogin to consolidate identity while keeping a flexible application structure. They migrated 15 apps off Azure AD, retired about 250 apps, and now manage roughly 5,400 accounts and 50+ apps with automated provisioning and MFA—reducing password‑reset support calls, speeding onboarding and freeing IT to focus on higher‑value work.
