AdTech Company Uses Workday Directory Integration to Improve Security

This programmatic advertising company grew rapidly from about 70 to over 700 employees and relied on roughly 30 unrelated SaaS apps, creating fragmented identity management and slow, manual provisioning. Active Directory was the intended system of record while Workday served HR, but Workday couldn’t systematically generate user email addresses and the company needed a scalable, standards-compliant solution to secure and streamline onboarding and offboarding.

The company deployed OneLogin for SSO and a bidirectional Workday integration that syncs Workday, AD, and an internal admin system to auto-create email addresses and provision accounts. The result was automated, centralized identity and access management that scaled consistently and securely, freed IT from manual tasks, improved user adoption (OneLogin became the company standard), and established a close vendor partnership.
