Weatherford International Use ONELAN to Improve Communications

Weatherford International, one of the largest global oilfield services companies, needed to improve internal communications across its Abu Dhabi operations—moving away from a fragmented PC/PowerPoint approach. They engaged ONELAN to deploy a digital signage solution to deliver clearer, real-time information across meeting rooms, lobbies and auditoria.

ONELAN implemented a network of digital signage devices—32 ONELAN Net-top-boxes (NTBs) in Abu Dhabi, six further NTB subscribers across the UAE, and an ONELAN NTB5500P publisher—plus a 1×3 video wall and NTB510S-driven lobby and auditorium screens. Room bookings are pulled via HTML into the displays, content is centrally managed by a dedicated staff member with ad hoc daily updates (e.g., stock levels), and the deployment has measurably improved internal communications and proved far more effective than Weatherford’s previous PowerPoint-based system.
