Virgin Holidays, which moved into a new shared headquarters with Virgin Atlantic in 2016, needed a more scalable and easy-to-update digital signage solution to replace its limited incumbent system and to support employee engagement, retail outlets and airport lounges. After a trial and evaluation via partner Avensys, Virgin Holidays selected ONELAN’s digital signage platform, including a virtual CMS server and Digital Signage Manager (DSM), to modernize content distribution across its estate.
ONELAN implemented its enterprise CMS and robust Net-Top-Box (NTB) players, removing the need for onsite servers and enabling rapid, centralized updates across lounges from China to Heathrow, Manchester and Gatwick (including v-room private lounges). The ONELAN solution delivered greater flexibility and faster content publishing—Virgin reports it has “significantly reduced the time taken to upload and deliver a variety of mixed content across all our end points”—while providing the scalability to control content across its global estate.
