Virgin Holidays opened a new V ROOM at Gatwick Airport to give guests a relaxed, child-friendly waiting area but needed a better way to inform and excite travellers about hotel and attraction options and to notify passengers when flights were ready to board. To solve this they deployed a digital signage network using ONELAN Net-Top-Boxes (NTB3305), recommended by their AV installers, to replace static notice boards with dynamic content.
ONELAN’s NTB3305 units provide two video zones, RSS feeds and an override facility so staff can interrupt screens with boarding alerts; they also display live news, entertainment and non-urgent security messages while preserving unobtrusive Virgin Holidays branding. The installation (by AVM) has made the V ROOM more informative and relaxing for guests, kept travellers up-to-date with flight information, and earned praise from Virgin Holidays for ONELAN’s speedy support and efficient content publishing.
