Swanmore College needed a modern, efficient and cost‑effective way to communicate centrally and across its nine feeder schools. To meet requirements for network connectivity, central control of layouts and local ad‑hoc updates, the College selected ONELAN and its Linux‑based Net‑Top‑Box (NTB) digital signage solution for stability and multi‑zone content management.

ONELAN deployed an NTB5005P to publish to 10 channels and nine NTB615 subscribers (plus an extra NTB615 in the college library) across a 10‑mile radius; each screen uses a two‑zone layout that feeder schools can update with media, notices, RSS news, weather and time. The ONELAN system exceeded expectations—allowing regular, low‑effort updates (even by a Year 6 pupil), improving engagement with pupils and parents, and delivering centralized control with local flexibility.
