Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) in Shanghai, part of the global Sandvik Group, needed a simple, intuitive knowledge‑management solution to disseminate large volumes of hourly-updated data across the office. They required ad‑hoc departmental upload zones, FTP-based immediate file transfer, HD video/JPEG playback and live TV capability, and selected ONELAN’s digital signage solution — deploying ONELAN Net‑Top‑Box (NTB) hardware to meet these needs.

ONELAN installed an NTB 5505 publisher/subscriber set plus three NTB 510 subscribers to power eight displays around the office (pantry TV with tuner, reception video welcome, and office data screens). ONELAN’s system delivered centralized content management, user friendliness and FTP flexibility for immediate updates; the deployment enabled real‑time distribution of business data across eight screens and improved staff and visitor communications. ONELAN’s solution met SMC Shanghai’s requirements and allowed instant content push via FTP.
