Merthyr Tydfil adopts ONELAN for College-wide Communication

Merthyr Tydfil College, a further education college with about 850 full‑time and 3,500 part‑time students undergoing a major estate upgrade, needed to replace a single standalone display with a college‑wide communications system to deliver news, messages and announcements. They selected ONELAN’s digital signage solution for its multi‑user content upload, time‑scheduling, common file format support and flexible screen layout capabilities.

ONELAN deployed Net‑Top‑Box (NTB) 5500 units and ONELAN Century NTBs to drive screens on each of the college’s four floors (including 46” Samsung screens, a 32” LG, a 40” library screen and a 50” reception screen), plus power‑saving scheduling to shut down and reboot displays. The ONELAN system improved campus‑wide communication, delivered consistent professional output, supported the college’s sustainability policy and cut printing and paper costs by reducing the need for posters and leaflets.
