Highbury College - Customer Case Study

Highbury College, a multi-campus further education provider in Portsmouth, sought a modern, centrally managed way to communicate dynamic information as part of a redevelopment programme. The College selected ONELAN’s digital signage solution to publish consistent, live content—specifically live student timetable information pulled from its student management system—as well as RSS news and event feeds across multiple sites.

Working with AV SouthWest, ONELAN installed a network of ONELAN Net Top Boxes (five NTB 615s, four NTB 610s with one acting as the central publisher, and one NTB 510S) and deployed ONELAN’s Data Collection Engine (DCE) with Smart‑E Cat5 distribution across three campuses. The system delivers “airport”‑style live timetables (showing lectures starting in the next ½ hour), streams live TV to student areas and the gym, and allows delegated local control; ONELAN reports have generated regular positive feedback from staff, students and visitors and enabled further projects such as staff/student profiles and environmental information.
