Dutch Hospital is Prescribed ONELAN to Improve Patient Communications

Dutch Hospital (Diaconesse hospital in Zeist, with outpatient clinics in Meppel, Steenwijk and Vollenhove) needed a clearer, more efficient way to communicate with patients and manage patient flow and wayfinding. Prior to the project one nurse had to manage flow full-time, so the hospital selected ONELAN digital signage to simplify information delivery for a mixed, often elderly audience.

ONELAN installed 19 Net-top-box (NTB 510 and NTB 5000) players driving 42" screens with single-zone displays and an HTML clock, managed by ADL and a local dealer. Using ONELAN’s Ad-Hoc capability nurses can update doctor availability, schedules, delays and appointment times themselves; the system has improved patient communications and reduced costs by removing the need for a nurse dedicated to managing patient flow.
