Dubai Duty Free & Connectiv Join Forces to Capture Passengers Attention with ONELAN

Dubai Duty Free, working with Connectiv, needed a way to capture passengers’ attention in a busy airport environment while ensuring 24/7 reliability, high‑quality playback, minimal maintenance and targeted advertising by location and flight. To meet these requirements the retailer selected ONELAN’s Linux-based Net-Top-Box (NTB) signage appliances and CMS for its duty‑free advertising network.

ONELAN supplied NTB players and an advanced CMS that uses dynamic metadata and real‑time scheduling tied to flight information, enabling advertisers to target specific passenger groups (for example, serving Chinese-language ads to travelers to/from China). The deployment delivered reliable 24/7 Blu‑ray quality playback, detailed proof of performance, simpler operations and improved ad targeting, with ONELAN’s Cyclone enterprise platform planned to add workflow, hierarchical metadata and campaign/inventory management.
