Chemist Warehouse Retail Group, which operates more than 400 stores across Australia and includes Chemist Warehouse, My Chemist, My Beauty Spot, ePharmacy and the Discount Vitamin Warehouse, needed an omnichannel solution to deliver product information, boost sales of promoted items, support catalogue events and monetise in-store advertising. To meet these challenges Chemist Warehouse selected ONELAN digital signage in 2012 as a core part of its retail communications strategy.
ONELAN supplied a nationwide network of Net-Top-Box (NTB) players and screens—growing from an initial rollout to over 2,400 players with a typical store configuration of seven screens/NTBs, plus large external 70” displays and transparent LCD fridges—managed via ONELAN’s remote monitoring platform. The deployment delivered measurable impact: uplifted advertiser sales, new promotional revenue streams, reduced reliance on paper POS, strong ROI (Chemist Warehouse reports a supplier waiting list of 12+ months) and scalable, centrally managed content across the national estate.
