Case Study: Meetup achieves secure, granular control over shared files with Onehub

A Onehub Case Study

Preview of the MeetUp Case Study

Meetup uses Onehub sharing permissions to control what happens to files after they are shared

Meetup, the world’s largest network of local community groups with 15 million members and 140,000 groups, needed a secure way to share corporate, investor, and legal documents with external parties. General Counsel David Pashman found consumer file-sharing tools lacked the granular controls required, so Meetup turned to Onehub and its sharing permissions to control who can view, print, edit, or re-share files.

Onehub enabled Meetup to grant and manage online access privileges—supporting 100 to 200 external users with secure, view-only access when needed, or edit/save rights where appropriate—and provided audit trails to track file activity after sharing. By using Onehub, Meetup replaced insecure email workflows with a simpler, more controlled solution that increased confidence in document sharing and let them monitor and enforce printing and forwarding restrictions.
