Wayland Academy faced the sudden cancellation of its 44th annual in-person gala and needed to recreate its largest fundraising event online. They partnered with OneCause, using its virtual fundraising/event solution to run an online gala, silent auction, and donation appeal that preserved donor engagement without face-to-face interaction.

OneCause helped Wayland run a video-driven virtual silent auction and donation campaign, tapping social influencers, email/direct mail, and social promotion to personalize the experience. The results were strong: 1,211 bids, 509 supporters, an average of 10.26 bids per item, 207% of silent auction value raised, and $94,456 in total proceeds — demonstrating OneCause’s impact on reach and revenue.
