The SPCA of Wake County had run its annual gala for 23 years but, despite growing attendance, saw fundraising fall short two years in a row. To reboot revenue and regain easy access to data, reporting and event-management tools, the organization returned to OneCause and its mobile bidding platform to support a new fundraising strategy.
Using OneCause’s mobile bidding and simple backend, the SPCA redesigned the event—$500 tickets, $5,000 tables, a 350-person cap, higher-end auction items, a mission-focused auctioneer and new tactics—and relied on OneCause for bidding and analytics. The result: the auction finished nearly $60,000 over goal, restoring event revenue and demonstrating clear, measurable growth.
