The Virtual IRONBEAR 30X30 Galvanizes a School Community & Fundraising

TASIS Dorado, a PK3–12 school in Dorado, Puerto Rico, faced a steep fundraising challenge to complete a $6.5M Wellness & Athletics Center after hurricanes, earthquakes, and the COVID-19 lockdown stalled in-person efforts. Seeking a virtual strategy, the school turned to OneCause and adopted OneCause’s Peer-to-Peer fundraising tools to keep their campaign alive and engage the community remotely.

Using OneCause’s Peer-to-Peer solution the school launched the IRONBEAR 30-30 challenge (30 minutes of activity for 30 days), combining branded marketing, leaderboards, match functionality, social integration and gamified mini-challenges. The campaign drew 34 teams and 310 participants, generated 317 donations totaling $114,336, achieved 457% of its original fundraising goal (and 114% of its final goal after increasing the target three times), secured a $25,000 matching gift, and logged 83,709 fitness minutes — results TASIS Dorado attributes to the OneCause platform.
