Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill provides a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children but relies heavily on donor dollars to cover roughly $85 per night and about $100 per week in food costs. Wanting to modernize fundraising and move away from paper bid sheets, the Development Team sought mobile bidding and auction automation and turned to OneCause and its fundraising tools.
OneCause implemented its Fundraising Suite and Giving Center microsites to power six online event sites, ticket sales, sponsor features, mobile bidding, donations and merchandise — enabling year‑round, easy-to-create campaigns. Using OneCause, the House ran 10 fundraising events, launched the viral “Share Your Stripes” $10 sock campaign, expanded social reach to donors who couldn’t attend events, and raised significant dollars while streamlining event management.
