The KU Alumni Association, producer of the Rock Chalk Ball, needed to replace its outdated paper-based auction and event processes with a mobile bidding platform. After researching options, the KU Alumni Association chose OneCause and implemented the vendor’s mobile bidding and event-management services just three months before their 2016 event.
OneCause handled registration and check-in, a mobile interface for silent-auction items and real-time bids, guest text messaging, streamlined checkout and sponsor tracking. The first year using OneCause boosted auction proceeds by $15,000, delivered a better guest experience for most attendees, provided actionable reports on popular items, and enabled the organization to expand into smaller events using OneCause’s DIY solution.
