How U.S. Ski & Snowboard Foundation used Peer-to-Peer Fundraising to Expand Their Donor Base

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Foundation, the nonprofit fundraising arm supporting seven Olympic sports, faced the sudden loss of four in-person events due to COVID-19 and needed a virtual, easy-to-use solution that would grow its donor base and integrate with Salesforce. To meet those needs they selected OneCause’s Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Solution to provide team-specific micro-sites, consistent giving experiences, and shareable landing pages.

Using OneCause, the foundation launched coordinated peer-to-peer campaigns, team landing pages and a donor capture pop-up, and integrated campaign data into Salesforce for better stewardship. The results included $3,075,000 raised for the Jeff Shiffrin Athlete Resiliency Fund (backed by a $1.5M matching gift), $170,307 for U.S. Ski Team Moguls (155% of goal), $8,000+ from online appeals, and a tracked donor-list growth of 500+ new contacts after shifting from four in-person events to ongoing online fundraising with OneCause.
