How Rosedale Added Peer-to-Peer to a 20 Year Old Ride

Rosedale School, an Austin ISD public school serving students with significant medical, physical, and cognitive disabilities, ran the Rosedale Ride for over 20 years as its largest annual fundraiser but relied mainly on registration fees and sponsorships. To maximize participant reach, increase awareness, deepen supporter connections, and raise more via social networks, the Rosedale Foundation moved event registration, sponsorship signups, and social fundraising onto the OneCause Peer-to-Peer platform.

OneCause enabled integrated registration and fundraising, easy team creation, and instant social sharing; in the first year on OneCause the Rosedale Ride raised $50,055 with 736 participants, 710 donations, 18 teams and over 13K social media reach. The switch produced a 20% increase in total funds raised, a 52.46% increase in online fundraising, 79% of riders fundraising, and average fundraising of $70.68 per individual and $143.03 per team member, demonstrating clear, measurable impact.
