Right To Play, a nonprofit that empowers children facing violence, child labour and inequality, faced the loss of its signature 1,200-guest gala when COVID-19 made in-person events impossible. To diversify fundraising and expand reach virtually, Right To Play turned to OneCause and its Peer-to-Peer software, adopting the Play It Forward Challenges model to create a 14-day Family & School Challenge that kept supporters engaged and active.
OneCause provided a turn-key, customizable platform and built-in communication tools that powered a two-week awareness push, social-media ambassador program, and peer-to-peer fundraising. Using OneCause, Right To Play achieved 46 million social media impressions, 282,000 social outreaches, CA$61,626 raised from 234 donations, 204 participants across 38 teams, and ongoing momentum with a planned monthly web series.
