Make-A-Wish Georgia, the state chapter that has granted wishes to thousands of local children since 1995, faced the pressure of keeping donors connected and dramatically increasing revenue at its annual Wish Ball—raising its target from $795,000 to $1,000,000 while more than 1,000 children awaited wishes. To scale engagement and streamline giving, Make-A-Wish Georgia partnered with OneCause and deployed OneCause technology for ticket sales, pre-event donations, and early mobile bidding.
OneCause collaborated with the chapter to seed nearly $500,000 before the gala and to deliver a live fundraising experience featuring mobile bidding, a real-time visual “thermometer” that filled with wish-kid photos, and a click-to-donate giving flow. The OneCause-powered campaign helped Make-A-Wish Georgia surpass its goal—raising $1,025,000 (a 48% increase from the prior year)—while creating a seamless, highly engaging event with measurable donor activation.
