NSW Food Authority - Customer Case Study

NSW Food Authority, the state regulator responsible for food safety across more than 14,000 licensed businesses, faced a paper-heavy inspection process that forced 50 field officers to carry up to 300 forms per stop, duplicate data entry back at the office, and delayed reporting. To modernise field access and streamline inspections, the Authority selected a mobile solution built on the OneBlink platform.

Using OneBlink’s Blink Mobility Platform (implemented by Rype), NSW Food Authority rolled out iPads with customised electronic inspection forms, CRM integration, photo uploads and offline access, letting officers complete and submit inspections in the field. The OneBlink solution reduced office time from two days to just half a day per week, increased monthly audits from ~300 to over 450 immediately after rollout (stabilising around 420), standardised reporting, sped up report delivery, and freed staff to spend more time engaging with businesses.
