Case Study: Logan City Council achieves faster, more efficient inspections with OneBlink

A OneBlink Case Study

Preview of the Logan City Council Case Study

How Logan City Council mobilised and optimised their workforce

Logan City Council faced a long‑standing problem: how to give inspectors a reliable mobile data‑capture capability so they could spend more time in the field and less on paperwork. Previous pilots failed because of heavy hardware, poor battery life and unreliable offline operation, so the Council sought a solution that would work on any device, anytime, even disconnected. After evaluating vendors, Logan City Council selected OneBlink’s Blink Mobility Platform (using BlinkForms) to meet these needs.

OneBlink implemented a securely hosted platform that lets the Council rapidly create and deploy customised electronic forms on tablets and phones, capture data offline, and automatically synchronise records into Council systems and the enterprise document management system. The pilot increased inspector productivity—food inspections rose from two to three per day (a 50% increase) and nuisance tree inspections increased by about six to eight per month—while reducing paperwork, improving response times and customer service. OneBlink’s solution is now being rolled out more broadly across the Council.
