A One Network Enterprises Case Study

Preview of the Menlo Worldwide Case Study

Menlo Leverages One Network Technology to Reduce DTCI Costs by 30 Percent

Menlo Worldwide Government Services, a subsidiary of Menlo Worldwide Logistics, was the prime contractor for the U.S. Transportation Command's Defense Transportation Coordination Initiative (DTCI). The challenge was to streamline domestic military logistics, which suffered from high costs and inefficient processes across 96 Department of Defense sites. USTRANSCOM required a solution that could be implemented rapidly without replacing legacy systems. One Network Enterprises was selected to provide a technology platform to meet these aggressive goals.

One Network implemented its Demand-Driven Transportation Solution, which included modules for planning, optimization, execution, and claims. The solution integrated with existing government systems and was deployed with the first site going live in just four months. This resulted in a 30% reduction in costs, avoiding $218 million, while achieving over 96% on-time pickup and delivery rates and 99.98% damage-free shipments. The platform from One Network provided the flexibility and performance needed to exceed USTRANSCOM's targets for cost savings and service improvement.
