A One Identity Case Study
Radboud University, a leading Dutch higher-education institution with some 45,000–50,000 users, faced growing complexity in managing identities and preventing “entitlement creep” across students, staff and external researchers. To improve agility, strengthen security and control costs, Radboud selected One Identity’s Identity Manager to replace its legacy IDM and unify provisioning and governance.
One Identity implemented Identity Manager with partner Intragen to consolidate multiple roles into a single master identity, enable self-service and combine provisioning and governance in one platform. The solution cut enrollment time by 50% (from 2–3 days to one), moved many processes from nightly to near real-time, reduced IT workload, improved access control to prevent improper entitlements and helped the university respond faster to legal and technology changes.
