Swiss Post Taking back control of identity and access management

Swiss Post, Switzerland’s national postal service with 60,000 employees, needed to replace a complex, costly script‑based identity and access management (IAM) system that handled about 100,000 Active Directory accounts. The old solution lacked transparency, was error‑prone and made compliance difficult, so Swiss Post evaluated alternatives and chose One Identity’s Identity Manager to simplify and automate IAM.

Deployed as One Identity’s Identity Manager with implementation support from Unisys, the solution automated account and role changes—allowing rights updates in seconds and eliminating manual phone requests—reducing administrator workloads and handling thousands of AD account changes annually. One Identity’s modular, extensible platform improved governance and access control, cut the complexity and expense of compliance procedures, and provided a scalable basis for ongoing IAM development.
