Case Study: Sundbybergs Stad reduces Active Directory management time from two hours to minutes with One Identity Active Roles

A One Identity Case Study

Preview of the Sundbybergs Stad Case Study

Sundbybergs Stad reduces management time of users and groups in Active Directory from two hours to just minutes a day

Sundbybergs Stad, a municipality in central Sweden, was struggling to keep pace with frequent Active Directory (AD) change requests because its legacy native tools were complex, error-prone and required manual work by a single administrator. Changes routinely took up to 48 hours and IT staff spent about two hours a day on identity management, creating security and backlog risks. To address this, Sundbybergs Stad evaluated solutions and selected One Identity Active Roles.

One Identity implemented Active Roles (deployed gradually with partner Advania) to automate and streamline AD user and group management. As a result, Sundbybergs Stad reduced AD change management from roughly two hours a day to just minutes, now applies permissions the same day or on a new starter’s first day, eliminated many manual errors, and improved security and auditing. One Identity’s solution delivered faster provisioning, higher productivity and clearer access visibility.
