Shopware achieves secure remote access with Defender

Shopware, a German online retail systems provider, needed to widen its geographic hiring pool to recruit top software developers and therefore enable remote work. To secure remote access to its corporate network with two‑factor authentication, Shopware selected One Identity’s Defender identity and access management solution to integrate with its existing Microsoft Active Directory and VPN infrastructure.

One Identity implemented Defender with AD integration and mobile soft tokens, delivering secure, straightforward remote access and minimal ongoing administration (about 30 minutes per week). As a result Shopware grew its development team from about 10–15 to 35 engineers, improved employee work‑life balance, gained a competitive hiring edge, and achieved a measured 100 per cent ROI.
