Case Study: Texas A&M University achieves streamlined identity and password management and improved security and efficiency with One Identity

A One Identity Case Study

Removing the bottlenecks and blind spots in IT access

Texas A&M University Health Science Center faced time-consuming, manual processes for managing system access and password resets that risked security and compliance. After seeing a demo, the university chose One Identity’s Identity Manager and One Identity Password Manager to automate provisioning, deprovisioning and self-service password functions.

One Identity, working with partner EST Group, ingested live Banner HR and student feeds and configured Identity Manager to automate workflows, enforce signoffs, and disable accounts across systems (Exchange, Skype, Syncplicity, etc.). The deployment removed about 500 inactive accounts, brought roughly 700 Active Directory groups into standardized provisioning, and eliminated roughly 100 weekly password reset tasks through Password Manager—improving efficiency, visibility into access rights, and compliance.
