A One Identity Case Study
Ankara University faced repeated data-loss incidents caused during remote administration of its UNIX/Linux and Windows servers by external service providers and needed a way to track and store all remote administrative sessions for auditing and forensic search. The university, working with partner Profelis Bilisim Ltd., selected One Identity’s Safeguard for Privileged Sessions to rapidly record, time-stamp and secure RDP/SSH sessions and meet its data-protection requirements.
One Identity deployed a Safeguard for Privileged Sessions virtual appliance to monitor RDP and SSH access on five externally supported servers, adding a credential store and four‑eyes authorization; the appliance was implemented and configured in one day. In production since January 2012 with no failures, the One Identity solution made external administrators more cautious (acting as both a technical and psychological barrier), significantly reducing the risk of further data loss.
