Mitigating Insider Risk at Leading Telecommunication Operator

CYTA, the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority, needed to protect customers’ personal data (such as CDRs) from insider threats and to comply with new policies requiring monitoring of privileged access. To meet requirements for recording privileged sessions and decrypting encrypted admin channels (SSH, RDP), CYTA selected One Identity’s Safeguard for Privileged Sessions.

One Identity deployed Safeguard for Privileged Sessions as three high‑availability clusters (six appliances) across three locations, controlling access for ~30 administrators and protecting 15 server hosts with an implementation time of about two weeks. The One Identity solution delivered visibility into encrypted traffic, searchable session content and video replay of activity, serving as an effective deterrent to internal fraud; CYTA is extending the deployment for the next five years.
