A One Identity Case Study
dm-drogerie markt, a German retail chain with about 60,000 employees and 1,900 stores in Germany, needed to replace shared accounts with individual, auditable access while avoiding huge increases in IT overhead. To meet rising identity governance and security requirements without slowing store operations, the company selected One Identity and its One Identity Manager product to automate identity and access management.
Using One Identity Manager, dm-drogerie markt created a single source of truth by connecting Active Directory/Azure AD and key applications (including ERP) and automated role-based provisioning and deprovisioning. The One Identity implementation gave the company full visibility into who granted or removed access, improved security and service levels, reduced costs, and avoided thousands of hours of lost productivity (roughly 1,000 working hours per day if each employee spent one minute daily managing accounts).
