Italian insurance consortium tightens data security

GE.SI.ass, an Italian IT support consortium serving insurers Helvetia and Nationale Suisse, needed a secure, compliant way to outsource support of complex Microsoft SQL Server and SAP-based BI applications to trusted partners without sharing system credentials. One Identity deployed Privileged Password Manager and Privileged Session Manager on a hardened appliance to deliver policy-based, just-in-time administrative access, command restrictions, session recording and full audit trails. Within six months GE.SI.ass enabled partners to autonomously support nine customer systems while preserving data protection, providing skills training via recorded sessions, and reducing setup time by about 75% (from roughly four days to one), ensuring compliance and tighter privileged-account control.
