Otto Group IT, the technology arm of Otto Group serving retail, finance and logistics across 30 countries, faced an aging IAM platform that could not support rapid digital transformation, global integration with SAP/ERP, Azure AD/Office 365 and ITSM, or the diverse IGA needs of its subsidiaries. To modernize identity governance and administration, Otto Group IT selected One Identity and its Identity Manager product to replace the legacy system.

One Identity implemented Identity Manager in a phased rollout, integrating Active Directory, ERP, ITSM and cloud platforms while enabling self-service, automated provisioning and attestation. The solution streamlined provisioning from days or weeks to minutes (and sometimes instant), reduced one File Systems Management workload from 2.5 FTEs to 0.5 FTE, accelerated cloud migration, and today supports over 25,000 users, more than 10,000 devices and roughly 70,000 IAM transactions per day—delivering clear productivity and governance gains.
