Abu Dhabi University, a UAE higher-education institution serving about 6,390 students and 500 staff, faced long delays and manual bottlenecks in granting and removing application access, plus no tools for auditors to report on who had access to what. To address these challenges the university, working with partner Exceed IT, chose One Identity’s Identity Manager to automate and govern identity and access processes.

One Identity’s Identity Manager was deployed in phases and fully automated within two months, checking the Student Information System every three hours, provisioning new users and emailing credentials, and connecting to HR to terminate access on departure. The solution cut start-of-term help-desk tickets significantly, reduced provisioning errors, provided a detailed view of application access and usage, and freed IT time for strategic projects.
