Global manufacturer simplifies and bolsters information security

Brown-Forman, the Louisville-based global manufacturer and distributor (parent company of Jack Daniel’s) with about 4,600 employees, faced complex information-security and compliance challenges including protecting its SAP ERP, preventing data loss, and meeting SOX and GDPR requirements. To gain efficiency and control, Brown-Forman engaged One Identity and deployed One Identity Manager as its centralized identity and access management solution.

One Identity implemented One Identity Manager with automated workflows to centralize identity governance, streamline compliance and strengthen SAP security; the automations eliminated many manual tasks, freeing up to eight administrative positions and driving SOX audit deficiencies down to nearly zero. As a result, One Identity gave Brown-Forman full visibility of user lifecycles and permissions, improved risk mitigation, and enabled more efficient, reliable SOX/GDPR compliance.
