Fiducia IT AG, a leading German IT provider for cooperative and private banks, faced new BaFin/MaRisk rules requiring full, forensic-grade audit of administrative access to private banking data across an environment of roughly 8,000 UNIX and Linux servers. To satisfy tamper-proof recording, playback and strict access controls, Fiducia selected One Identity’s Safeguard for Privileged Sessions.

Working with AS Computer Consulting & Service, One Identity deployed Safeguard for Privileged Sessions into production (since 2008) and scaled it into multiple high-availability clusters—2 HA clusters for internal admins, 1 cluster for the PCI DSS environment and 2 HA clusters for external customer access—covering SSH, RDP, Citrix ICA and TN3270 protocols. The solution delivered movie-like audit playback, granular controls and tamper-proof trails; Fiducia passed supervisory audits with no negative findings, can now fully trace who did what and when, and received a One Identity custom module within six months.
