Auditing Data Management at Canadian Blood-Management Provider

Héma-Québec, the Québec blood-management provider responsible for thousands of blood drives, hundreds of thousands of donors and more than 500,000 blood products a year, needed to ensure the safety and integrity of personal and transaction data across databases and application servers. One Identity implemented Safeguard for Privileged Sessions T4 in transparent mode to record and audit RDP and SSH sessions, capture SCP transfers, create searchable session audit trails and send alerts on unauthorized actions—without deploying agents or impacting host performance. The solution improved traceability and auditing of Héma-Québec’s critical systems, enabled the organization to demonstrate control to external auditors, and can be scaled by adding additional Safeguard appliances as needed.
