LKS Krean, an international consultancy focused on energy efficiency, climate change projects, carbon footprint reduction research, life-cycle analysis, and life-cycle costing, needed a practical way to measure and reduce embodied carbon in building projects while supporting LEED and BREEAM certification goals. To address this challenge, the team used One Click LCA as part of its materials sustainability and building assessment workflow.

With One Click LCA, LKS Krean could quickly perform building-specific life cycle assessments using a database of existing EPDs, identify high-impact materials, compare design options, and set low-carbon material requirements early in the project. The solution helped LKS deliver low-risk certification credits and achieve embodied carbon reductions of up to 15–20%, with measurable gains including 3 or 7 BREEAM® ES points and up to 4 LEED points through embodied carbon reduction and EPD provision.
