Case Study: European Commission achieves BREEAM certification with One Click LCA

Life Cycle Impacts credits made easy with One Click LCA

The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre in Ispra undertook a major refurbishment of Building 27b, a 4-storey office building, as part of its BREEAM International NC 2013 certification effort. To support the required LCA – Mat 01 Life Cycle Impacts assessment, the team used One Click LCA.

Using One Click LCA, the European Commission’s JRC – Unit R.9 developed the life cycle analysis for the renovation, covering the core and local services, technical installations, internal finishes, and the full building envelope. The project achieved BREEAM certification at the final stage and earned 6+1 credits, including the exemplary credit for Mat 01 – Life Cycle Impacts.
