Case Study: L’Oreal Paris achieves LEED Platinum for its Production Factory with One Click LCA

How L’Oréal Production Factory team used One Click LCA to become the first Industrial Sector LEED Platinum project in the world

L’Oréal Paris needed to support the certification of its L’Oréal Production Factory in Kaluga, Russia, while targeting strong sustainability performance for a large industrial and administrative facility. To do this, the team used One Click LCA for building life-cycle impact reduction and innovation credits under LEED v4, with support from Buro Ecoseven partnered with HPBS.

One Click LCA helped the project team assess material impacts, improve procurement choices, and prioritize low-impact, recycled, and reused materials while integrating contractor input into the process. As a result, L’Oréal Production Factory achieved 80 LEED points and earned LEED v4 Platinum, becoming the first Industrial Sector project in the world to receive LEED Platinum certification.
