How Knauf Experience Center used One Click LCA to receive DGNB Platinum rating

Knauf Insulation used One Click LCA to support the planning of its Knauf Experience Center in Škofja Loka, Slovenia, a new construction designed as an education, presentation, and conference building. From the outset, the customer’s challenge was to ensure the project met ambitious sustainable building goals and could achieve DGNB certification.

With One Click LCA, Knauf Insulation’s expert Robert Smodiš carried out DGNB EN​V 1.1 life cycle impact assessment and ENV 2.1 primary energy calculations to support certification efforts. The result was DGNB Platinum certification, confirming the high quality of the selected materials and processes, and making the project the first sustainably built new construction in Slovenia and a pilot project for Level(s).
