Hodkinson Consultancy, an energy and environment consultancy, needed a practical way to assess whole life carbon and help clients make better materials and design decisions across early design, planning, and construction phases. To support this work, they used One Click LCA to carry out Life Cycle Assessments and compare materials more easily within a single organized tool.

With One Click LCA, Hodkinson Consultancy can track assessments, reuse bespoke “Private Constructions,” and produce GLA-compliant results faster, freeing more time for carbon-reduction recommendations. The solution helped them save significant embodied carbon on projects, including one scheme that reused an existing basement and reduced emissions by 279 kgCO2/m²; today, 95% of their projects are in line with GLA benchmarks and around 50% meet aspirational targets.
