EIGO Construcciones reduces embodied carbon by 12.2% with One Click LCA

EIGO Construcciones, a construction company specializing in sustainable warehouse facilities, faced the challenge of maintaining carbon accuracy from design through on-site construction, as material and supplier changes often altered the final embodied carbon footprint without the team's knowledge. To address this, they integrated One Click LCA into their EIGO Green methodology to measure, optimize, and monitor carbon performance across the full project life cycle.

Using One Click LCA, EIGO created a material inventory, analyzed carbon impact, and identified hotspots. They then implemented targeted material substitutions and, crucially, continued monitoring throughout construction with the software. This solution enabled a 12.2% reduction in embodied carbon on a Madrid warehouse project, from 328 to 288 kg CO₂e/m², without any architectural design changes. One Click LCA provided real-time visibility into on-site deviations and allowed for the creation of custom EPDs with suppliers, ensuring the design-stage carbon targets were actually met upon completion.
